Recap Time: Bridelux Atelier

Recap Time: Bridelux Atelier

Hi everyone!

Hope you all had a great weekend. If you read last week’s post, you’ll know I attended Bridelux Atelier at the Intercontinental New York Barclay. If you aren’t sure what is is or want to know more, you can read last week’s post here.

I just wanted to give you guys a recap of what I thought of the event! Unfortunately I was pretty sick with either the world’s worst cold or the flu, not really sure, so I didn’t stay the whole time, but rest assured I will be soaking in the entire experience next year.

If you’ve ever been to a bridal showcase before, you’ll know that there are usually vendors set up around the room with examples of their work. This event was no different except everything was a major wow because the vendors at this event are the best of the best. There was everything from Amsale gowns, to invitations and stationery by Ceci New York, to a giant flower and greenery wall by Adam Leffel Productions. On top of all of the vendors present, there were also fashion presentations featuring Saiid Kobeisy and Marco & Maria gowns from Mark Ingram Atelier (AND a gospel choir which was giving my ill body so much life), as well as speakers from all areas of the wedding industry. I had the chance to hear wedding planner and designer Jes Gordon speak, and honestly I wish her presentation was longer. Not only is she HILARIOUS, but she also explained why you should have a wedding planner and why they charge what they charge. And that is the bonus of attending these events! You can see the vendors’ work in person (because we all know photos and real life can look VERY different), you can talk to them and get a chance to have your questions answered, and ultimately you walk away as a more informed bride or groom. Think of Bridelux as a pre-gaming session to your initial consultation with a vendor!

Aside from all of the flowers and fashion, the Intercontinental was gorgeous! I definitely recommend you check it out if you ever plan on staying in New York. The location is great and the staff is so friendly. Stay tuned because I may be doing a blog post with them all about having your wedding in their stunning hotel.

And lastly, if you missed my Instagram stories, make sure to check out my Bridelux highlight! I’ve also included some photos of this year’s event throughout this post and below courtesy of Phillip Van Nostrand. I’d like to give a huge thank you to LLG Agency for allowing me to cover this event!
