6 Valentine's Date Night Ideas for 2021

6 Valentine's Date Night Ideas for 2021

Howdy everyone!

Guess what? I had this post all written and then deleted it by clicking the “discard” button even though that wasn’t my intention because I am a dumbnut.

Anyway, if you read the title then you know that this post is about Valentine’s Day ideas for these crazy times we are living in. While yes you should celebrate your love every single day, there is nothing wrong with making things a little extra. Let’s be honest, February is the worst month in the calendar so we may as well make it poppin’. Read below for six Valentine’s Day ideas. Choose one or a few, up to you!

Create an ambience.

It’s all about the atmosphere! Light candles, set the table extra nicely, get some flowers, and put on a playlist you love. Smooth jazz is always a great choice when it comes to dinner music. I also like Jesse Cook, which is great if you like the guitar. Shout out to Ina Garten who I’m pretty sure recommended his music for dinner parties.

Cook together or order from your favorite place.

If you want a nice bonding activity, cook something together! Just make sure you pick out the recipe ahead of time and that you have all of the ingredients to avoid hanger. If you’re not into cooking, order takeout from your favorite place! Just remember that the whole universe will probably be ordering takeout, so your food may take extra long.

Do a craft together.

For a fun Valentine’s Day idea, try doing something crafty! Make your own candles, at-home pottery painting, or an at-home painting class for something a little different! There are so many options online nowadays.

Slow dance in the living room.

Do not actually plan this. It’s more cute if it’s spontaneous. I’m just planting the seed here.

Rom-coms, a blanket fort, pizza, and comfies.

As much as I love getting dressed up, I am also all for the chill vibes. Create a cozy blanket fort, play a bunch of romantic movies, order a pizza, and put on those comfy clothes. See photo below for the ultimate inspiration.

Create your own chocolate tasting.

Valentine’s Day is the holiday of chocolates! Buy a bunch you never tried before and have a chocolate tasting. Rate them 1-10 if you want to keep it simple, or make up a scorecard with criteria like creaminess, creativity, sweetness, etc. Take note of ones you like so you can buy them again when a craving strikes. Would you guys want a printable chocolate scoring card? Happy to make one! Just let me know in the comments.

I hope these ideas were helpful! Let me know which one was your favorite and if you have any other ideas.
