Where to Shop for Honeymoon Outfits

Where to Shop for Honeymoon Outfits

Hi guys!

Hope everyone is having a good week so far. If you’ve been following along on Instagram, you know that August’s story theme is honeymoon outfit inspo. Today I’m rounding up some of my favorite shopping spots that happen to have great honeymoon finds as well! I’m currently working on getting a few things for my vacation, so if you want to see some of my outfits from that, let me know in the comments! I’ll share it all on a post and on Instagram when the time comes.

ASOS: They literally have EVERYTHING from dresses to tops to swimwear and a huge range of price points and brands. I’ve ordered clothes and swimsuits from there and I’m happy with how everything worked out.

H&M: I shop here all the time anyway. I recommend going in an actual store instead of online because their sizing can be funky (and the quality isn’t always consistent). I got a shirt to tie at the waist over my bathing suit this past weekend. Also make sure to check out their accessories section for pieces that are more trendy that you don’t want to spend major bucks on (because they will probably turn eventually). I scored some cut summer dresses there this summer like the one below!

Zara: I have to say, everything I ever bought from Zara is still in AWESOME shape so I’ve had a lot of my pieces for years. The only exception is sometimes their jeans get a little stretched out, but if you’re losing weight and don’t want to invest in a really good pair (like Hudson or FRAME), then I recommend them. They have awesome dresses, coats, blazers, shoes, pretty much everything. This is another one where I recommend going into the store. They also have some cute bags.

LUVAJ: If you want jewelry that doesn’t break the bank, check them out. I got their Amalfi hoops in gold and silver and they are a staple in my jewelry collection. The only word of caution is the plating on my gold hoops came off, so if this is going to bother you down the road, maybe invest in another brand.

Fabletics: If you’re going on a super active honeymoon and need some new fitness wear, I love Fabletics. The Powerhold leggings are the best. They suck you in but don’t cut off your circulation.

Don’t forget to shop your closet! You probably have some awesome pieces that you can wear again. Also, make sure you try to shop with the intention of wearing the item again. I just returned a pair of sandals A. because they were too big and B. because I realized I would only wear them on vacation. I’m not a huge fan of exposing my feet. If you were a competitive dancer or ballerina, you understand.

Buy quality where you can. I also believe in buying quality pieces if it’s something you would foresee yourself using repeatedly. If you’ve been following along on stories or you’re into fashion, you’ve probably seen the Saint Laurent Rive Gauche tote. I LOVE it. However, I don’t go to the beach on a regular basis, so I don’t see it being worth it (although I could use it for other travel, but I really like the light one which would get super dirty…but we can discuss this later). If you go to the beach ALL THE TIME go ahead and splurge, especially if you tend to buy a new bag every year because the ones you’ve been getting aren’t high quality. Another option is buying secondhand. I had a great experience with Fashionphile when buying my Pochette Métis. They are super thorough with the descriptions of the items.

Where are your favorite places to shop for vacation clothes? Let me know!

And make sure to check out even more inspo in this post.
